In addition to the two Lågan Hörby teams, 65 other teams played in Flickor 2002 B1. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof IK Lågan Hörby 1 could be found in Group 1 together with IFK Bankeryd 2, Vadstena HF, Kärra HF Göteborg, Vetlanda HF 2, Ystads IF HF 1, Veberöds HK, H43 Lund 2 and Gustavsbergs IF HK.

IK Lågan Hörby 1 continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 7:th place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Borlänge HK 2 with 10-11. In the Final, Åhus Handboll 3 won over Åhus Handboll 1 and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Flickor 2002 B1.
