Halmstad Handboll was one of 284 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2017. They participated with 48 teams in 17 out of Åhus Beachhandboll Festivals all 29 categories. The team in Flickor 2004 C2 made it to the the Final in A-Slutspeland won it over Åhus Handboll 1 by 11-10.
In addition to this, Halmstad Handboll have participated in Åhus Beachhandboll Festival before. During Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016, Halmstad had 50 teams playing in 20 out of Åhus Beachhandboll Festivals all 28 categories. Two teams played until Final in A-Slutspel; Pojkar 2001 B2 2 won over Uppsala HK 3 by 10-7 but Herrar Junior 96-98 lost against IFK Kristianstad 1 by 9-12. Halmstad comes from Halmstad which lies approximately 120 km from Åhus, where Åhus Beachhandboll Festival takes place.
