In addition to the 5 Ystads teams, 73 other teams played in Pojkar 2002 B2. They were divided into 8 different groups, whereof Ystads IF HF 2 could be found in Group 1 together with Raklev G&I, Danmark 2, HK Ankaret Bjärred Lag 2, Halmstad Handboll, IFK Tumba Sthlm 2, Önnereds HK Gbg 2, IFK Kristianstad 6, Lugi HF, Staffanstorps HK 2 and Uppsala HK 2.
Ystads IF HF 2 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 4:th place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against IFK Kristianstad 4 with 11-13. In the Final, LVHK Lödde 1 won over HK Silwing/Troja Sthlm and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Pojkar 2002 B2. Ystads IF HF also participated in Pojkar 2002 B1 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016.
