In addition to the three Ystads teams, 56 other teams played in Pojkar 2006 D2. They were divided into 6 different groups, whereof Ystads IF HF 3 could be found in Group 4 together with IFK Kristianstad 2, Alingsås HK 1, LVHK Lödde 2, Växjö HF 2, Eslövs HF 1, Halmstad Handboll 3, H43 Lund 1 and Karlskrona Handboll 2.
Ystads IF HF 3 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 1:st place in Group 4. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against Ystads IF HF 2 with 5-8. In the Final, H43 Lund 1 won over Ystads IF HF 2 and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Pojkar 2006 D2. Ystads IF HF also participated in Pojkar 2006 D1 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016.
