In addition to the two Ystads teams, 48 other teams played in Flickor 2001 A1. They were divided into 5 different groups, whereof Ystads IF HF 2 could be found in Group 1 together with Sollentuna HK, Alingsås HK, Borlänge HK 1, Lugi HF, IFK Kristianstad 2, Bjärnums HK, GW Landskrona HK, IF Guif Eskilstuna 2 and Spånga HK Stockholm 2.

Ystads IF HF 2 continued to C-Slutspel after reaching 9:th place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Kävlinge HK 1 with 12-14. In the Final, Halmstad Handboll won over IK Lågan Hörby 2 and became the winner of C-Slutspel in Flickor 2001 A1.

Ystads IF HF also participated in Flickor 2001 B2 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016. They reached the 1/4 Final in F01 B-Slutspel, but lost it against IK Pandora Ystad with 8-9.
