In addition to the four IFK Kristianstad teams, 55 other teams played in Pojkar 2002. They were divided into 6 different groups, whereof IFK Kristianstad 2 could be found in Group 5 together with Uppsala HK, Lödde Vikings HK 1, Torslanda HK Vit, IK Sävehof 1, IK Bolton Blåsut, Halmstad Handboll 3, H43 Lund HF Migogang, HK Ankaret 1 and Karlskrona Handboll 2.

IFK Kristianstad 2 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 5:th place in Group 5. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against HK Aranäs 1 with 6-9. In the Final, IK Sävehof 2 won over Tyresö Handboll and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Pojkar 2002.

IFK Kristianstad also participated in Pojkar 2002 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2018. They reached the 1/8 Final in P02 A-Slutspel, but lost it against H43 Lund HF migogang with 10-12.
