In addition to the two Åhus teams, 62 other teams played in Pojkar 2006. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof Åhus Handboll 1 could be found in Group 4 together with Trelleborg Handbollsklubb Svart, Tollarps IF, Alingsås HK 2, Ronneby HK 2 Ronneby, Halmstad Handboll 2 Svart, Spånga HK, Vinslövs HK and Lödde Vikings HK 2.

Åhus Handboll 1 continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 6:th place in Group 4. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against Eskilstuna Guif IF P07 with 10-17. In the Final, Eskilstuna Guif IF P07 won over IFK Kristianstad 4 and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Pojkar 2006.

Åhus Handboll also participated in Pojkar 2006 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2018. They won B-Slutspel, after beating Halmstad Handboll 2 in the final with 16-6.
