In addition to Ystads IF HF, 61 other teams played in Flickor 2002. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof Ystads IF HF Vit could be found in Group 5 together with Spånga HK Grus, Spånga HK Hav, IFK Kristianstad 1, Sollentuna HK, Lödde Vikings HK, H43 Lund HF 2, Borlänge HK 3 and Önnereds HK.

Ystads IF HF Vit continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 1:st place in Group 5. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against IFK Tumba HK 1 with 12-13. In the Final, Eslövs IK won over Alingsås HK 1 and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Flickor 2002.

Ystads IF HF also participated in Flickor 2002 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2018. They reached the Semi final in F02 B-Slutspel, but lost it against Åhus Handboll 1 with 10-13.
