In addition to the three Ystads teams, 76 other teams played in Flickor 2003. They were divided into 8 different groups, whereof Ystads IF HF 1 could be found in Group 5 together with Borlänge HK 1, IK Baltichov, Eslövs IK, Halmstad Handboll 3, H43 Lund HF, Kristianstad HK 3, Falköpings AIK HK VIT, Eskilstuna Guif IF and IK Bolton.

Ystads IF HF 1 continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 8:th place in Group 5. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Lidingö SK Grön with 10-11. In the Final, Lugi HF 3 won over Huddinge HK Blå and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Flickor 2003.

Ystads IF HF also participated in Flickor 2003 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2018. They reached the Semi final in F03 B-Slutspel, but lost it against Kärra HF 2 with 11-12.
