In addition to the four Sävehof teams, 55 other teams played in Pojkar 2002. They were divided into 6 different groups, whereof IK Sävehof 3 could be found in Group 1 together with H43 Lund HF Vit, Härryda HK, Alingsås HK 3, IK Bolton Danvikstull, Tyresö Handboll, Åhus Handboll 3, Ystads IF HF 3, IFK Kristianstad 4 and Eslövs HF.

IK Sävehof 3 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 1:st place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against HK Aranäs 1 with 10-11. In the Final, IK Sävehof 2 won over Tyresö Handboll and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Pojkar 2002.

IK Sävehof also participated in Pojkar 2002 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2018. They reached the final in A-Slutspel, but lost it against H43 Lund HF migogang with 8-10 and ended up in second place.
