In addition to the two Åhus teams, 44 other teams played in Pojkar 16 år (födda 2007). They were divided into 5 different groups, whereof Åhus Handboll 2 could be found in Group 3 together with Täby HBK 1, Halmstad Handboll Svart, Lugi HF 4, Ystads IF HF 2, HK Aranäs Vit, Kävlinge HK, Växjö HF 1 and HK Bollebygd Vit.

Åhus Handboll 2 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 4:th place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Lödde Vikings HK with 13-15. In the Final, Lugi HF 1 won over Täby HBK 1 and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Pojkar 16 år (födda 2007).

Åhus Handboll also participated in Pojkar 15 år (födda 2007) during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2022. They won A-Slutspel, after beating IK Sävehof in the final with 15-13.
