In addition to Åhus Handboll, 54 other teams played in Öppen klass Herrar. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof Åhus Handboll could be found in Group 3 together with Böffes Söner, Mönsterås HK Raketforskarna BK, Bikini Bottom, Salta BK, ÅlisÄrInteSingel, Kärlekens boys and Avgå Alla.

Åhus Handboll continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 3:rd place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against G med lite T with 6-11. In the Final, Kärlekens boys won over SALOS DRÄPARE and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Öppen klass Herrar.
