In addition to the three IFK Tumba Sthlm teams, 47 other teams played in Pojkar 2000 A1. They were divided into 5 different groups, whereof IFK Tumba Sthlm 2 could be found in Group 5 together with Vinslövs HK, Kävlinge HK, Norrköpings HK 1, LVHK Lödde, Skogås HK Sthlm 2, KFUM Kalmar HK 2, Halmstad Handboll 2, H43 Lund 1 and Karlskrona Handboll 3.

IFK Tumba Sthlm 2 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 4:th place in Group 5. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Enköpings HF 1 with 6-8. In the Final, LUGI HF 1 won over H43 Lund 1 and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Pojkar 2000 A1.
