In addition to the two IFK Bankeryd teams, 57 other teams played in Pojkar 2006 D2. They were divided into 6 different groups, whereof IFK Bankeryd 2 could be found in Group 1 together with Göinge HK, Uppsala HK 1, H 78 Sölvesborg 1, HK Aranäs Kungsbacka 1, Önnereds HK Gbg Grön, Ystads IF HF 2, Åhus Handboll 2, Kävlinge HK and Staffanstorps HK Östrand.

IFK Bankeryd 2 continued to C-Slutspel after reaching 9:th place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Ljunghusens HK 1 with 1-7. In the Final, Halmstad Handboll 2 won over Växjö HF 2 and became the winner of C-Slutspel in Pojkar 2006 D2.
