In addition to Växjö HF, 49 other teams played in Flickor 2001 A1. They were divided into 5 different groups, whereof Växjö HF could be found in Group 3 together with IK Lågan Hörby 2, H43 Lund 1, Uppsala HK 1, Staffanstorps HK, Gustavsbergs IF HK, IF Guif Eskilstuna 1, IK Baltichov Gbg 1, Åhus Handboll and IFK Klagshamn.

Växjö HF continued to C-Slutspel after reaching 9:th place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Halmstad Handboll with 7-9. In the Final, Halmstad Handboll won over IK Lågan Hörby 2 and became the winner of C-Slutspel in Flickor 2001 A1.

Växjö HF also participated in Flickor 2001 B2 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016. They reached the 1/4 Final in F01 C-Slutspel, but lost it against Ystads IF HF 1 with 10-12.
