Åhus Handboll F01

In addition to Åhus Handboll, 49 other teams played in Flickor 2001 A1. They were divided into 5 different groups, whereof Åhus Handboll could be found in Group 3 together with IK Lågan Hörby 2, H43 Lund 1, Uppsala HK 1, Staffanstorps HK, Gustavsbergs IF HK, IF Guif Eskilstuna 1, Växjö HF, IK Baltichov Gbg 1 and IFK Klagshamn.

Åhus Handboll continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 4:th place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against Gustavsbergs IF HK with 5-6. In the Final, Uppsala HK 1 won over Gustavsbergs IF HK and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Flickor 2001 A1.
