In addition to Åhus Handboll, 49 other teams played in Pojkar 2000 A2. They were divided into 5 different groups, whereof Åhus Handboll could be found in Group 5 together with IF Guif Eskilstuna, KFUM Kalmar HK 2, IFK Tumba Sthlm 4, Uppsala HK 2, Växjö HF, IK Baltichov Gbg, Kävlinge HK, HK Aranäs Kungsbacka and Bollstanäs SK Sthlm.
Åhus Handboll continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 1:st place in Group 5. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Lugi HF 2 with 7-11. In the Final, Borlänge HK won over Lugi HF 2 and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Pojkar 2000 A2. Åhus Handboll also participated in Pojkar 2000 A1 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016.
