In addition to the three Åhus teams, 75 other teams played in Pojkar 2002 B2. They were divided into 8 different groups, whereof Åhus Handboll 2 could be found in Group 6 together with Åhus Handboll 3, Hammarby IF Sthlm 2, Trelleborg HBK 1, Kärra HF Göteborg, H43 Lund 4, Staffanstorps HK 1, IFK Bankeryd, IF Guif Eskilstuna 1 and Raklev G&I, Danmark 1.

Åhus Handboll 2 continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 8:th place in Group 6. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against IFK Tumba Sthlm 3 with 9-13. In the Final, Rimbo HK Roslagen won over HK Aranäs Kungsbacka 1 and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Pojkar 2002 B2.

Åhus Handboll also participated in Pojkar 2002 B1 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016. They reached the 1/8 Final in P02 A-Slutspel, but lost it against Kristianstad HK 1 with 10-11.
