In addition to the three Åhus teams, 75 other teams played in Pojkar 2002 B2. They were divided into 8 different groups, whereof Åhus Handboll 3 could be found in Group 6 together with Hammarby IF Sthlm 2, Trelleborg HBK 1, Kärra HF Göteborg, H43 Lund 4, Åhus Handboll 2, Staffanstorps HK 1, IFK Bankeryd, IF Guif Eskilstuna 1 and Raklev G&I, Danmark 1.

Åhus Handboll 3 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 2:nd place in Group 6. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against IFK Kristianstad 6 with 12-13. In the Final, LVHK Lödde 1 won over HK Silwing/Troja Sthlm and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Pojkar 2002 B2.

Åhus Handboll also participated in Pojkar 2002 B1 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016. They reached the 1/8 Final in P02 A-Slutspel, but lost it against Kristianstad HK 1 with 10-11.
