In addition to the two Karlskrona teams, 48 other teams played in Pojkar 2000 A2. They were divided into 5 different groups, whereof Karlskrona Handboll 2 could be found in Group 2 together with Skånela IF Märsta, Eslövs HF 2, IFK Tumba Sthlm 3, Alingsås HK 2, Ystads IF HF 2, Enköpings HF 4, Hultsfreds HF, Uppsala HK 1 and H43 Lund 2.
Karlskrona Handboll 2 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 2:nd place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against Lugi HF 2 with 9-11. In the Final, Borlänge HK won over Lugi HF 2 and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Pojkar 2000 A2. Karlskrona Handboll also participated in Pojkar 2000 A1 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016.
