In addition to the two Karlskrona teams, 58 other teams played in Pojkar 2001 A1. They were divided into 6 different groups, whereof Karlskrona Handboll 1 could be found in Group 1 together with Bollstanäs SK Sthlm, IF Guif Eskilstuna 1, H43 Lund 6, Alingsås HK, Norrköpings HK, Eslövs HF 2, Borlänge HK, LVHK Lödde and Åhus Handboll 4.

Karlskrona Handboll 1 continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 6:th place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against Ystads IF HF 2 with 11-13. In the Final, IK Sund Helsingborg won over Ystads IF HF 2 and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Pojkar 2001 A1.

Karlskrona Handboll also participated in Pojkar 2001 B2 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016. They reached the 1/16 Final in P01 A-Slutspel, but lost it against Halmstad Handboll 1 with 7-10.
