In addition to IFK Bankeryd, 56 other teams played in Pojkar 2001. They were divided into 6 different groups, whereof IFK Bankeryd could be found in Group 5 together with Hammarby IF HF, H43 Lund HF 1, Åhus Handboll 2, Ystads IF HF 1, Önnereds HK 2, Falu HK, Vinslövs HK and IFK Tumba HK 2.
IFK Bankeryd continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 5:th place in Group 5. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Lugi HF 2 with 11-14. In the Final, Växjö HF won over OV Helsingborg HK and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Pojkar 2001. IFK Bankeryd also participated in Pojkar 2001 A1 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2017.
