In addition to the three IFK Kristianstad teams, 72 other teams played in Pojkar 2004. They were divided into 8 different groups, whereof IFK Kristianstad 1 could be found in Group 2 together with IFK Mullsjö, Karlskrona Handboll 1, Skuru IK 3, Kungsängens SK 2, IFK Malmö HF, Tomelilla IF 2, IK Sund 2 and Alingsås HK 5.
IFK Kristianstad 1 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 2:nd place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against IFK Kristianstad 3 with 11-12. In the Final, IFK Kristianstad 3 won over H43 Lund HF 4 and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Pojkar 2004. IFK Kristianstad also participated in Pojkar 2004 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2018.
