In addition to the three Åhus teams, 56 other teams played in Pojkar 2002. They were divided into 6 different groups, whereof Åhus Handboll 2 could be found in Group 4 together with IK Bolton Skanstull, HK Aranäs 1, Eskilstuna Guif IF, H43 Lund HF 2 P03, IK Sävehof 2, Lödde Vikings HK 2, Ljunghusens HK, Karlskrona Handboll 1 and Trelleborg Handbollsklubb.

Åhus Handboll 2 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 1:st place in Group 4. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against IFK Kristianstad 2 with 10-11. In the Final, IK Sävehof 2 won over Tyresö Handboll and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Pojkar 2002.

Åhus Handboll also participated in Pojkar 2002 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2018. They reached the 1/4 Final in P02 A-Slutspel, but lost it against H43 Lund HF 1 with 5-8.
