In addition to the four IFK Kristianstad teams, 36 other teams played in Pojkar 16 år (födda 2006). They were divided into 4 different groups, whereof IFK Kristianstad 4 could be found in Group 3 together with Eslövs HF, Uppsala HK 2, Alingsås HK, IFK Tumba HK Vit, Växjö HF, IFK Bankeryd vit, Åhus Handboll P07 2, Lödde Vikings HK 1 and Lugi HF Vit.

IFK Kristianstad 4 made it to A-Slutspel after reaching 2:nd place in Group 3. Once in the playoff they made it all the way to the Final, but lost it against Lugi HF Svart with 9-10. Thereby IFK Kristianstad 4 finished second in P16 (f. 2006) A-Slutspel during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2022.
