In addition to the two IFK Kristianstad teams, 45 other teams played in Flickor 16 år (födda 2006). They were divided into 5 different groups, whereof IFK Kristianstad 1 could be found in Group 2 together with Lugi HF 2, Eslövs IK EIK 1, HF Karlskrona Lag 1, Önnereds HK 2, Tollarps IF 2, Uppsala HK 1, Hammarby IF HF Grön, Bjärnums HK and Halmstad Handboll 3 Rosa.

IFK Kristianstad 1 continued to C-Slutspel after reaching 8:th place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against IK Lågan Hörby with 8-11. In the Final, IFK Malmö HF Vit won over IK Lågan Hörby and became the winner of C-Slutspel in Flickor 16 år (födda 2006).
