In addition to the three Uppsala teams, 63 other teams played in Pojkar 2001 B2. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof Uppsala HK 1 could be found in Group 7 together with IF Guif Eskilstuna 3, HK Eklöven, IFK Tumba Sthlm 2, Ronneby HK 2, Borås HK 84 1, IK Sund Helsingborg, IFK Kristianstad 1 and IK Lågan Hörby 2.

Uppsala HK 1 continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 5:th place in Group 7. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against Ystads IF HF 2 with 12-13. In the Final, Ystads IF HF 2 won over Eksjö BK and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Pojkar 2001 B2.
