In addition to the two Uppsala teams, 65 other teams played in Flickor 2002 B1. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof Uppsala HK 1 could be found in Group 6 together with IK Lågan Hörby 2, Växjö HF, Alingsås HK 2, Näsby Handboll 2, Borlänge HK 3, Åhus Handboll 3, Ystads IF HF 2, AIK Handbollsförening and Vinslövs HK.

Uppsala HK 1 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 1:st place in Group 6. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against LUGI HF 2 with 10-11. In the Final, HK Silwing/Troja Sthlm won over Kärra HF Göteborg and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Flickor 2002 B1.
