In addition to the two Uppsala teams, 57 other teams played in Flickor 2005 D2. They were divided into 6 different groups, whereof Uppsala HK 2 could be found in Group 4 together with Trelleborg HBK 2, IK Lågan Hörby 2, GW Landskrona HK 1, LVHK Lödde 4, H 65 Höör 2, Kristianstad HK 1, Karlskrona Handboll 1, Halmstad Handboll 1 and Huddinge HK Sthlm 4.

Uppsala HK 2 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 4:th place in Group 4. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Haninge HK Stockholm 2 with 5-6. In the Final, Trelleborg HBK 1 won over Näsby Handboll 1 and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Flickor 2005 D2.
