In addition to the three Uppsala teams, 63 other teams played in Pojkar 2001 B2. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof Uppsala HK 3 could be found in Group 5 together with IK Bolton Sthlm 2, Kävlinge HK 2, Kristianstad HK 2, GF Kroppskultur Uddevalla, H43 Lund 1, Ystads IF HF 2, Önnereds HK Gbg 1 and IFK Bankeryd 1.

Uppsala HK 3 made it to A-Slutspel after reaching 2:nd place in Group 5. Once in the playoff they made it all the way to the Final, but lost it against Halmstad Handboll 2 with 7-10. Thereby Uppsala HK 3 finished second in P01 A-Slutspel during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016.
