In addition to the two Näsby teams, 65 other teams played in Flickor 2002 B1. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof Näsby Handboll 1 could be found in Group 5 together with Spånga HK Stockholm 2, IFK Tumba Sthlm 2, H 65 Höör 3, LUGI HF 1, Eslövs IK 2, Borlänge HK 4, Karlskrona Handboll 1, IFK Karlsborg and Åhus Handboll 2.

Näsby Handboll 1 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 5:th place in Group 5. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Uppsala HK 1 with 7-8. In the Final, HK Silwing/Troja Sthlm won over Kärra HF Göteborg and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Flickor 2002 B1.
