In addition to the two Näsby teams, 65 other teams played in Flickor 2002 B1. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof Näsby Handboll 2 could be found in Group 6 together with IK Lågan Hörby 2, Växjö HF, Alingsås HK 2, Uppsala HK 1, Borlänge HK 3, Åhus Handboll 3, Ystads IF HF 2, AIK Handbollsförening and Vinslövs HK.

Näsby Handboll 2 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 3:rd place in Group 6. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against IFK Karlsborg with 11-12. In the Final, HK Silwing/Troja Sthlm won over Kärra HF Göteborg and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Flickor 2002 B1.
