In addition to the three Åhus teams, 67 other teams played in Pojkar 2003. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof Åhus Handboll 1 could be found in Group 2 together with Westermalms IF HK, OV Helsingborg HK - Zahers soldater, Lugi HF 2, Ystads IF HF Gul, IFK Tumba HK, Uppsala HK, Önnereds HK Grön, Hultsfreds HF and Halmstad Handboll Matadorerna.

Åhus Handboll 1 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 5:th place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Alingsås HK 2 with 9-12. In the Final, HK Aranäs won over IFK Kristianstad 1 and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Pojkar 2003.

Åhus Handboll also participated in Pojkar 2003 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2018. They reached the 1/8 Final in P03 A-Slutspel, but lost it against HK Aranäs 1 with 6-12.
