In addition to the two Åhus teams, 62 other teams played in Pojkar 2006. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof Åhus Handboll 2 could be found in Group 6 together with Borlänge HK, IFK Bankeryd 2, H43 Lund HF 1, Eskilstuna Guif IF P07, Kärra HF, Lödde Vikings HK 3, IFK Malmö HF, Eslövs HF 3 and Skuru IK.

Åhus Handboll 2 continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 8:th place in Group 6. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Åhus Handboll 1 with 8-12. In the Final, Eskilstuna Guif IF P07 won over IFK Kristianstad 4 and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Pojkar 2006.

Åhus Handboll also participated in Pojkar 2006 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2018. They won B-Slutspel, after beating Halmstad Handboll 2 in the final with 16-6.
