In addition to the two Växjö teams, 46 other teams played in Flickor 12 år (födda 2011). They were divided into 5 different groups, whereof Växjö HF 1 could be found in Group 4 together with Ljunghusens HK 1 (Emil), HK Björnen, Ystads IF HF 1, H 78 Sölvesborg, Tollarps IF 1, Kävlinge HK Blå, Halmstad Handboll Svart and Huddinge HK Strand.

Växjö HF 1 made it to A-Slutspel after reaching 2:nd place in Group 4. Once in the playoff they won every match inluding the Final against Hässleholms HF 2, which they won with 11-7. Thereby Växjö HF 1 won the entire A-Slutspel in Flickor 12 år (födda 2011) during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2023.
