In addition to the two Uppsala teams, 56 other teams played in Flickor 2001 B2. They were divided into 6 different groups, whereof Uppsala HK 2 could be found in Group 5 together with LVHK Lödde 1, H 65 Höör 1, Kärra HF Göteborg, Gustavsbergs IF HK 1, Ronneby HK 1, Näsby Handboll 2, Karlskrona Handboll, KFUM Lundagård and IK Pandora Ystad.

Uppsala HK 2 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 2:nd place in Group 5. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Näsby Handboll 1 with 11-12. In the Final, H43 Lund 1 won over Näsby Handboll 1 and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Flickor 2001 B2.
