In addition to the two H43 Lund teams, 18 other teams played in Damer Junior 96-98. They were divided into 2 different groups, whereof H43 Lund 2 could be found in Group 2 together with Eslövs IK, Trelleborg HBK, Kristianstad HK 1, Borlänge HK, H 65 Höör 2, Halmstad Handboll 1, Gustavsbergs IF HK, IK Lågan Hörby and Åhus Handboll.

H43 Lund 2 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 4:th place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Halmstad Handboll 2 with 8-15. In the Final, H 65 Höör 1 won over H43 Lund 1 and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Damer Junior 96-98.
