In addition to the four Bolton teams, 53 other teams played in Pojkar 2001. They were divided into 6 different groups, whereof IK Bolton 2 could be found in Group 1 together with Hässleholms HF, IK Sävehof 3, H43 Lund HF migogang, Rimbo HK Roslagen, IFK Kristianstad 3, Kävlinge HK, Åhus Handboll 4, Föreningen Karlskrona Handboll 1 and Göteborg Beach Handball Club (Borlänge HK).

IK Bolton 2 continued to C-Slutspel after reaching 10:th place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against IFK Tumba HK 1 with 9-10. In the Final, IK Bolton 4 won over IFK Kristianstad 3 and became the winner of C-Slutspel in Pojkar 2001.
