In addition to the two Uppsala teams, 56 other teams played in Flickor 2001 B2. They were divided into 6 different groups, whereof Uppsala HK 1 could be found in Group 1 together with Lugi HF, Kungälvs HK, H 78 Sölvesborg, Eslövs IK, Växjö HF, Spånga HK Stockholm, IK Lågan Hörby 1, Staffanstorps HK 2 and IK Baltichov Gbg 2.

Uppsala HK 1 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 4:th place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Borlänge HK with 5-7. In the Final, H43 Lund 1 won over Näsby Handboll 1 and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Flickor 2001 B2.
