In addition to the four IFK Kristianstad teams, 40 other teams played in Pojkar 2006 D1. They were divided into 4 different groups, whereof IFK Kristianstad 2 could be found in Group 2 together with Trelleborg HBK 2, Halmstad Handboll 3, Eslövs HF 3, Ronneby HK, Ljunghusens HK 1, IK Lågan Hörby 2, IF Guif Eskilstuna 2, Alingsås HK 2, H43 Lund 1 and Ystads IF HF 3.

IFK Kristianstad 2 continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 6:th place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against LVHK Lödde 2 with 4-6. In the Final, Alingsås HK 2 won over LVHK Lödde 2 and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Pojkar 2006 D1.
