In addition to the four IFK Kristianstad teams, 40 other teams played in Pojkar 2006 D1. They were divided into 4 different groups, whereof IFK Kristianstad 4 could be found in Group 4 together with Åhus Handboll 1, Karlskrona Handboll 2, Tollarps IF, Vinslövs HK 2, Önnereds HK Gbg, IF Guif Eskilstuna 1, LVHK Lödde 3, Ystads IF HF 1, Ljunghusens HK 2 and Halmstad Handboll 2.

IFK Kristianstad 4 continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 8:th place in Group 4. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against IF Guif Eskilstuna 2 with 7-9. In the Final, Alingsås HK 2 won over LVHK Lödde 2 and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Pojkar 2006 D1.
