In addition to the 6 IFK Kristianstad teams, 64 other teams played in Pojkar 2005 D2. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof IFK Kristianstad 3 could be found in Group 1 together with Åhus Handboll 2, Halmstad Handboll 4, HK Hök Laholm 1, IFK Malmö HF, H 78 Sölvesborg, IFK Ystad HK 1, Hammarby IF Sthlm, Kävlinge HK 3 and IFK Bankeryd 1.
IFK Kristianstad 3 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 3:rd place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against HK Aranäs Kungsbacka 3 with 6-7.
