In addition to the 5 IFK Kristianstad teams, 65 other teams played in Pojkar 2002 B1. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof IFK Kristianstad 4 could be found in Group 4 together with Borlänge HK, HK Ankaret Bjärred 1, H43 Lund 3, Raklev G&I, Danmark 2, Vetlanda HF 2, Eslövs HF 1, IK Sävehof Partille, Ystads IF HF 4 and Rimbo HK Roslagen.

IFK Kristianstad 4 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 3:rd place in Group 4. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Hammarby IF Sthlm with 7-8. In the Final, H43 Lund 1 won over H43 Lund 4 and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Pojkar 2002 B1.
