In addition to the three Halmstad teams, 56 other teams played in Pojkar 2002. They were divided into 6 different groups, whereof Halmstad Handboll 1 could be found in Group 2 together with Hammarby IF HF 1, Redbergslids IK, Ystads IF HF 1, HK Ankaret 2, IFK Kristianstad 1, Kärra HF Steff Academy, H43 Lund HF Blå and Alingsås HK 1.

Halmstad Handboll 1 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 3:rd place in Group 2. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against IK Bolton Danvikstull with 10-13. In the Final, IK Sävehof 2 won over Tyresö Handboll and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Pojkar 2002.

Halmstad Handboll also participated in Pojkar 2002 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2018. They reached the 1/16 Final in P02 A-Slutspel, but lost it against Åhus Handboll 1 with 5-12.
