Uppsala HK was one of 284 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2017. They participated with 38 teams in 18 out of Åhus Beachhandboll Festivals all 29 categories. Two teams played until Final in A-Slutspel; Flickor 2001 A1 1 won over Gustavsbergs IF HK by 8-6 and Damer Junior 97-99 1 won over Eslövs IK by 10-8.
In addition to this, Uppsala HK have participated in Åhus Beachhandboll Festival before. During Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016, Uppsala had 32 teams playing in 17 out of Åhus Beachhandboll Festivals all 28 categories. The team in Pojkar 2001 B2 made it to the the Final in A-Slutspel, but lost it against Halmstad Handboll 2 by 7-10. Uppsala comes from Uppsala which lies approximately 480 km from Åhus, where Åhus Beachhandboll Festival takes place. The area around Uppsala does also provide four additional clubs participating during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2017 (H.L. BioMedical AB, Vassunda IF Sthlm, Stolpskott and Skånela IF Märsta).
