In addition to IK Sävehof, 79 other teams played in Flickor 2006. They were divided into 8 different groups, whereof IK Sävehof could be found in Group 3 together with Lödde Vikings HK 2, Huddinge HK 3, Bjärnums HK 1, Uppsala HK 4, Hammarby IF HF 2, Trelleborg Handbollsklubb Guld, Ronneby HK 2, Åhus Handboll 2 and Tomelilla IF.

IK Sävehof continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 3:rd place in Group 3. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against Alingsås HK 3 with 7-10. In the Final, Alingsås HK 1 won over Eslövs IK 3 and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Flickor 2006.
