In addition to Alingsås HK, 39 other teams played in Herrar Junior 97-99. They were divided into 4 different groups, whereof Alingsås HK could be found in Group 1 together with Eslövs Ballers, IF Guif Eskilstuna, H43 Lund 2, IFK Kristianstad 2, H 65 Höör 2, Kävlinge HK 1, Enköpings HF 2, Uppsala HK 2 and HK Silwing/Troja Sthlm.

Alingsås HK continued to B-Slutspel after reaching 7:th place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/8 Final, but lost it against OV Helsingborg HK with 8-9. In the Final, Huddinge HK Sthlm won over IK Sävehof Partille and became the winner of B-Slutspel in Herrar Junior 97-99.
