In addition to the two Alingsås teams, 26 other teams played in Damer Junior 97-99. They were divided into 3 different groups, whereof Alingsås HK 2 could be found in Group 1 together with IFK Kristianstad 2, Rimbo HK Roslagen, Uppsala HK 3, HK Eskil Eskilstuna 2, Hisingens HK, Trelleborg HBK 1, LVHK Lödde Vikings, H43 Lund 1 and IF Hellton.

Alingsås HK 2 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 4:th place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Kävlinge HK with 8-9. In the Final, Uppsala HK 1 won over Eslövs IK and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Damer Junior 97-99.
