In addition to the three Alingsås teams, 61 other teams played in Flickor 2006 D2. They were divided into 7 different groups, whereof Alingsås HK 1 could be found in Group 6 together with Västerås Irsta HF, Tollarps IF 2, Åhus Handboll 3, Vetlanda HF, Trelleborg HBK, H43 Lund 1, Tyresö Handboll 2 and LVHK Lödde 2.
Alingsås HK 1 made it to A-Slutspel after reaching 1:st place in Group 6. Once in the playoff they won every match inluding the Final against Eslövs IK 1, which they won with 9-8. Thereby Alingsås HK 1 won the entire A-Slutspel in Flickor 2006 D2 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2017. Alingsås HK also participated in Flickor 2006 D1 during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016.
