IFK Kristianstad 1 continued to A-Slutspel after reaching 5:th place in Group 1. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against SG Flensburg Handewitt 1 with 9-10. In the Final, SG Flensburg Handewitt 1 won over SG Flensburg Handewitt 2 and became the winner of A-Slutspel in Elit Herr. IFK Kristianstad also participated in Elit Herr during Åhus Beachhandboll Festival 2016.
